Dialogue on diversity honors the spirit of Los Kitos
Dialogue on Diversity has
announced the year 2000 Honorees for its sixth annual Entrepreneurship Awards,
to be presented in ceremonies the evening of Tuesday, October 3, 2000. The
2000 Entrepreneurial Achievement Award will be presented to Martha Montoya,
President of Los Kitos Entertainment, LLC. Nominated by the National Association
of Hispanic Publications, President Zeke Montes said of her nomination, "Martha
Montoya and Los Kitos has had a successful long term relationship with the
Hispanic press. We felt it was time that she was recognized for her entrepreneurial
spirit and sincere concern for children." She will receive the award
in Washington, D.C., in the Hall of the Americas at the Organization of American
States. Ms. Cristina Caballero, President and founder of Dialogue on Diversity,
said of Martha and the rest of the honorees, "Women entrepreneurs are
becoming ever more qualified and sophisticated in their technological and
business skills, and the task of our Awards committee this year was correspondingly
challenging. "Immigrants of the world," said Martha Montoya, "are
not afraid to reach for their goals and this is evident in how much is being
accomplished."
Dialogue on Diversity is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to
fostering creative conversation and interchange of concepts and experience
among business and professional women of all ethnic and national communities.
