Los Kitos Entertainment LLC and Archie Comics
books have agreed to join forces to bring their comic book fun to
Spanish-speaking children throughout the USA.
In a cross-promotional effort, Archie Comics will provide the
adventures of Archie, Jughead, Veronica, Betty and the rest of the popular
characters, and market it with Los Kitos Comics to broaden the values-based
market for Spanish-speaking youth. For Los Kitos creator Martha Montoya, this
new development will enable the right messages to be given throughout the
preteen and teen years.
Archie Comics has loyal fans not only in the United States but throughout
the international community. The comic book is currently translated into 12
different languages, and twenty-five separate Archie comics are produced each
month. Louis Silberkleit, owner of Archie Comic Publications said, "Our
continuing philosophy of producing a safe and entertaining product that parents
can feel comfortable in buying for their kids will be passed on through Los
Kitos comic books and Archie Comic books for Spanish-speaking children. The
future remains in values that have been established in the past, with titles
that will continue to be built around the subjects of family, relationships,
innocence, honesty, romance and fun."
