Los Kitos leads the way with Notikitos

At the forefront of the multicultural revolution is Los Kilos Entertainment, LLC, creators of the popular comic script Los Kitos, which has been celebrating cultural diversity and the value of virtues in more than 305 newspapers worldwide since 1995. Now Los Kitos latest brainchild is Notikitos, which has been created to further rneet the needs of today's bilingual kids. Notikitos is a Spanish/English kid's page that is both educational and fun. Its many varied departments cover such fields as technology, geography, wildlife, sports, history and even celebrity birthdays. Consumers will find Notikitos in newspapers and on the Web, and beginning next month, on the Los Kitos weekly radio show. One of the leading Spanish newspapers in New York recently launched a Notikitos page. Hola Hoy editor Armando Varela said of Notikitos, "The kid's page is helping to bring the paper to the schools." Notikitos is unique in that it is published in both Spanish and English, so its importance lies not only in its ability to help maintain the Spanish culture but to give kids an opportunity to learn something in English.
